Please tell us a little bit about yourself and your business:

J: “I moved to Thailand in May 2013 to explore my career options in an emerging market. I established BizWings (Thailand) in 2015, a consulting firm that offers a one-stop service for a wide variety of business needs, such as accounting outsourcing, administrative and tax support, as well as general consultation on legal matters and specific client requests. Our goal is to be the ‘Wingman’ for our clients, ensuring they are fully equipped for success.”

How did you start this business?

J: “I started BizWings completely on my own, without a team. It wasn’t until a year later that we hired our first employee. Fast forward to today, and BizWings now has 22 employees. I’m proud to say that our annual revenue in 2020 was 35 times higher than our first year.”

What is most important in achieving your outstanding success?

J: “First, we put our clients at the center of everything we do, and that focus has allowed us to steadily grow our client base. Second, we built a strong company culture around our seven core values, which has resulted in remarkably low HR turnover rates compared to the industry standard. Third, we work hard to meet international quality standards. BizWings is an independent member of a global network operating in over 50 countries. We are also a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, and we actively implement CSR activities within our company.”

What challenges did you face when starting out?

J: “In today’s business world, determination, resilience, and mental toughness are crucial. I began my business with no clients and worked tirelessly to build my reputation in Thailand. I attended seminars, wrote articles, and networked with government agencies and banks to establish relationships.”

What advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs?

J: “The first few years of a business are always the toughest. A well-structured business plan and an unshakable ‘never give up’ mindset are key to success. Finding a trustworthy local partner is especially important, particularly for foreign entrepreneurs in Thailand. We’ve been fortunate to have a Thai director on our team who has helped us navigate all the challenges since the company’s inception.”
