Let’s talk about Golf – no, not the sport, but Rathawut Chaiwongkajorn, who, along with his partner, Lin – Wiwan Koopinpaitoon, founded Arise 19 Degree. What started as a small creative marketing consultancy with just three people quickly grew into a powerhouse team of 70 employees. Their success took off at lightning speed, earning the trust of corporate clients by handling everything from communication, marketing, to media planning, with incredible detail and efficiency.
“The most important thing in my life is freedom,” Golf says. “I used to work for a big company, but I’ve never been the type to fit into the corporate box. When I work alone, I make decisions on my own, and I get to have my own time to think… But I know that no one can do everything alone. No one’s an expert at everything. I needed people I could trust. For me, freedom means trusting others to do what I can’t.”
Golf explains why he made the bold move to leave the comfort of a large, stable company and start his own business with just two other colleagues, embracing a work style that gave him total freedom.
“The best thing about running a small company is that the costs aren’t high, and we can use outsourcing tailored to each project, working with partners I’ve known for over ten years,” he adds.
